Our Fleet

The PSC Fleet
Portland Sailing Center's fleet currently includes boats from 22 feet to 39 feet in length. All are ballasted keelboats which don't tip over as their unballasted cousins often do. So dress for the weather, bring non-marking shoes, and leave your swim wear at home.

Day Sail Excursions
Portland Sailing Center offers skippered outings for up to 18 people on three boats in Portland, or 12 people on two boats at Cascade Locks in the world-famous Columbia River Gorge. These outings are best suited to groups who wish to participate in sailing the boat and are well suited for entertainment or rewards for non-sailors and sailors alike. Typical outings are two to four hours, depending on conditions and client's wishes. Contact us to inquire about the possibilities. Prices are per skippered boat, per hour (minimum two hours):

Portland
Our Portland dock and office is on NE Marine Dr. near the airport, minutes from downtown Portland. Fair to fine dining is not far away. You can have lunch, go for a sail, and get back to work, if you must. We also sail evenings as daylight allows. Summer winds are generally from the northwest, 5 to 15 knots. The Columbia River here is plenty wide for some excellent sailing.

  • 35 foot boat (max six passengers) $65.00 per hour
  • 38 or 39 foot boat (max six passengers each) $75.00 per hour. Prices are for two people, two hour minumum. Add $10/hr for each extra passenger.

The Gorge
Summer winds in The Gorge are generally westerly, 10 to 20 knots. This is a world-famous sailing area in an exceptionally beautiful setting, from Bridge of the Gods to Wind Mountain. Try the pizza at Salmon Row in town or picnic in the park. We'll pick you up at the docks just a Frisbee toss from Cascade Locks Marine Park and forty-five minutes from Portland.
